The School of Urban and Regional Studies is one of the country's leading centres of education in the fields of housing, planning, transport, property management, geography, urban studies and surveying, and offers a comprehensive range of courses covering the relationship between people and the built and natural environment, and their often contradictory interests.

The school is

  • a professionally recognised School of Town Planning by the Royal Town Planning Institute
  • a Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors accredited centre of excellence
  • a centre for transport teaching accredited by the Chartered Institute of Transport
  • an accredited centre for facilities management education and
  • one of the country's major professionally accredited centres for housing management.

We have our own suite of specialist studios and a learning resources centre, and there is wide access to up-to-date networked computing facilities.
