Licensed Surveyors Association of Ghana (LISAG)

The Licensed Surveyor is a professional who provides services of land surveying. In Ghana, licensing of surveyors dates back to the colonial period and its existence enshrined in the various legislation promulgated from pre-colonial times till date. These were the survey ordinances and currently the Survey Act 1962, Act 127. Typically, most licensed surveyors work to support the land administration system by providing certified and or cadastral plans and maps for land conveyancing.

The Licensed Surveyors Association of Ghana (LISAG) has gone through a number of phases in its development as an association. The Association, which started off as a welfare body for its members has now morphed into an association that is championing national agenda such as playing key role in the amendment of the Land Bill and advocacy programs, among other national activities.
