Technical Tour

One day technical tour will be organised on December 5, 2003. The programme of the tour is as follows:

09:00 Busses leave from Sheraton Marrakech
09:30 Barrage Lalla Takerkoust
(Visit to the dam, its impacts to urbanisation and land issues)
10:30 Guemmassa Mining Center
(Visit to the mines and factory)
11:30 Leave to Ourika Valley
(Visit on the way new urban settlements in Tahnaouate and gardens in Ourika Valley)
13:00 Lunch at La Kasba Restaurant in Ourika
15:30 Leave from Ourika Valley
16:30 Visit to Teleprocessing Center of Ain Beqal
(Control of the canal waterway)
18:30 Back to the hotel

The social tour programme includes:

Sightseeing tours - 3 hours - daily

Sightseeing to the old Medina of Marrakech will be organised on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The sightseeing will last about three hours including the main attractions of the city. The tour will close at the famous Jmaa El Fna Square. Tickets 10 EUR can be purchased at the registration desk on the conference venue.

Sigtseeing tour - full day - Monday December 1 and Saturday December 6

This tour is scheduled for Monday December 1 and Saturday December 6 so that the participants can select the day that best suits to their programme. The fee of 20 EUR includes transfers, entrance fees and the guide. Registration on the web via registration form.

This programme will shed light on the glorious history of Morocco and particulary that of Marrakech City. By visiting the main monuments of the city participants will be able to trace back to the history of the dynasties that reigned Morocco.
