As young professionals, your role is critical in shaping a sustainable future where land rights are recognized as fundamental to building disaster-resilient communities. This event promises to be a pivotal platform for young surveyors from the region to deepen their involvement in land governance, enhancing their capabilities to contribute effectively to resilience strategies against the backdrop of climate threats and related social injustices.

1. Mapping for Resilience Techniques in using GIS for disaster risk reduction.
2. Advocacy and Land Rights Strategies for effective advocacy in safeguarding land rights, contributing to Policy Making and effective communication for policy influence.

Young Surveyors can register for the pre-event together with the full regional conference. The fee to attend both Young Surveyors meeting and the Full Regional Conference is 100 USD.

Two FIG Foundation Young Surveyor Grants

Grant for Nepalese attendees.

20 grants are available.

Selection criteria:

  • The applicant must be a Nepali citizen.
  • The applicant must be below the age of 35.
  • The applicant must have completed a B.E. in Geomatics Engineering or equivalent, or a Senior Surveying Course.
  • The applicant must have submitted full paper at the FIG Regional Conference.
  • The applicant should provide evidence of his/her significant contributions to the profession.

Three grants are available for attendees from the region.
